Everyday SEL
Dear Families,
Welcome to this space! Thank you for the many ways you support your students' hearts and minds! As we move through life's journey, I think we can all agree that we need a little more resilience by the day. How do we cultivate it? Together with your student(s) practice Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) skills:
Build Self Awareness by inviting your student(s) to focus on a positive intention for the day.
Foster Self-Management by helping your student(s) identify and name their emotion(s) and give them a few strategies to deal with stress.
Grow Social Awareness by talking with your student(s) about what it means to be a good friend and what it doesn't mean.
Develop Responsibility Skills at home by giving your student(s) specific ways they can help the family unit and check in with them about what they are learning and need help with.
Grow Relationship Skills at home and at school by talking about what makes relationships successful/unsuccessful.
Don't forget to celebrate the good you see happening in your students' lives and in your life!
The purpose of this site is to provide Social, Emotional, and Cultural Responsive resources for you and your family.
