The scope and sequence scaffolds four critical advising areas across grades 6–12—career exploration, postsecondary opportunities, financial aid and literacy, and essential skills—and includes grade-level, standards-based lesson plans aligned to Individual Learning Plan (ILP) completion. Implementing a structured advising sequence promotes consistency across schools, increases student access to postsecondary information, strengthens alignment between K–12, workforce, and postsecondary expectations, and supports meaningful, student-centered use of ILPs. Most importantly, it prepares graduates to make informed and intentional decisions about their future.
