Connect Leadership Community is SESC’s regional support network for school and district leaders, including new and experienced principals, aspiring principals, curriculum and instructional leaders, and superintendents. This community will focus on timely and relevant leadership topics such as school culture and climate, operational and organizational systems, and leadership development. SESC will facilitate meaningful discussions among principals and school leaders across the SESC region, providing opportunities to share successes, reflect on challenges, and collaborate with peers. Participants may earn 2 hours of Certified Evaluation Update credit during each of the sessions.

Join SESC in partnership with KDE for this 4 part learning series on Student Success. This 4 part series is designed to support districts across the state in advancing student success. Sessions are open to all SESC Districts, regardless of where you are in the process of building a local accountability system. The series is open to districts that still need to create a portrait of a learner, as well as districts that are in the implementation phase.
Sessions are designed as a cohort experience, with the expectation that participating districts will commit to all four sessions to build momentum and foster ongoing collaboration. #sesccoop #servingyou

SBDM 101 is designed for new council members and assists them in understanding the purpose of school-based decision making and the council’s work related to budgeting, improvement planning, and personnel consultation. KDE recommends that all new council members complete this to earn their required six training hours.
The Rise to Proficiency: Councils and Family and Community Partnerships training module assists council members in understanding the difference between engagement and involvement and why increasing parent, family and community engagement in schools is important to student achievement. The module also explores how council members can help engage parents, families and the community through their policies and decision-making processes. #sesccoop #servingyou
