UnitWise respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the UnitWise mobile application collects, why we use it, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.
Depending on the features you use, UnitWise may collect:
Your username or email address
Your connected inverter-platform provider
Your account display name
Authentication session information
Your password is used only to authenticate your connected inverter account. UnitWise does not retain your password after authentication.
When you connect a supported inverter account, UnitWise may process:
Inverter identifiers and system details
Solar generation, battery, grid, and load readings
Electricity usage and energy-performance history
System status, alerts, and synchronization times
Tariff, backup-power, and energy-saving preferences
We may collect information you submit in the app, including:
Selected inverter and default-system preferences
Answers about your electricity setup, tariff, appliances, or battery
Completed or dismissed energy-saving actions
Appliance-usage confirmations
If you choose to upload an electricity bill, UnitWise may request access to your camera or photo library. Only the image you select or capture is uploaded. The image is used to read or record bill information and improve your energy insights.
Camera and photo access is optional. You may deny or revoke this permission through your device settings.
Our servers may automatically process limited technical information, such as your IP address, request time, and service-error information, for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
We use collected information to:
Authenticate your account
Connect to your supported inverter platform
Display solar, battery, grid, and electricity information
Calculate savings and energy insights
Provide personalized actions and alerts
Save your preferences and submitted answers
Process electricity-bill images you choose to upload
Maintain, secure, and improve UnitWise
Prevent misuse and resolve technical problems
UnitWise does not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared only when necessary with:
Your connected inverter-platform provider, such as ShineMonitor/Eybond or SOLARMAN
Hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers that help us operate UnitWise
Government authorities or other parties when required by applicable law
A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate privacy protections
We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
UnitWise uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. Data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Authentication sessions are stored using secure device storage where supported, and access to stored service data is restricted.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide UnitWise, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
You may request deletion of your UnitWise data by emailing developer@servcomtech.lol . Please include enough information for us to identify your account. After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize the associated information unless retention is required by law.
Deleting UnitWise data does not automatically delete your account with a third-party inverter provider. You must contact that provider separately if you wish to delete its account or records.
You may:
Decline camera or photo-library access
Remove permissions through your device settings
Log out to remove the active UnitWise session from your device
Request access, correction, or deletion of your information
Stop using the app at any time
UnitWise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are used.
We may update this Privacy Policy when UnitWise or its data practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
