The Serra Math Department believes it is important for students to maintain their math skills during the summer months in preparation for next year's math course. As such, all Serra Math classes (with the exception of Calculus and AP Calculus) have work due on the first day of the class. This work focuses on reviewing skills and concepts that students have previously learned and are considered essential for getting started in next year's class.
If students need help with the concepts, refer to online resources that correspond to the topic/problems. There are many instructional videos online that can be used (we recommend Khan Academy).
Expect that the assigned work will be due/collected the first day of class, and will then be reviewed during the first week with an assessment (quiz/test/etc....) to follow.
