The GarageBand group made their debut and there was an Augmented Reality demonstration as well. As usual, SPWinds played their 'Arabian Dance' to the delight of the audience. Alhamdulillah, SSP will strive and keep using iPad in the classroom and continue the culture of excellence through the integration of technology in all aspects of life on campus.
The culture of innovations in SSP is reflected in the classroom-based, day-to-day engagement through project works, drama competition, music composition, project-based learning and other in-class activities.
School-based programs such as SSP Digital learning Video Challenge and Animated series of Kembara Bersama-sama Adli & Adlina were introduced to showcase students' creativity through the skills acquired in ECC workshop series. Ultimately, SSP organised a flagship program, Creators Coders
Playground@SSP to challenge the students to bring out the best of their creativity and innovativeness, apply higher order thinking skills and push their limits in problem-solving based tasks when they compete in a Swift Playground coding competition and creation exercises.
Exams drillings and exercises have always been stressful and distressing especially for the students of exam classes. What more with piles of papers and workloads. Students’ life seems so hectic. However, with the advancement in technology, life as students is a lot much easier nowadays.
In our school, the use of iPads has allowed them to carry out the exam exercises all in one device: light weight and convenient.
i-Garden or informative garden is an enhanced version that transformed conventional gardens into interactive gardens to allow students, teachers and visitors alike to learn and gain information regarding the plants and trees available within the school compound. This will definitely create a flexible, impactful and educational surrounding not just particularly in classrooms but also elsewhere within the school compound. Making it a purposeful sighting which ease access to greater information beyond classroom
Digitalized materials such as books, journals, catalogues, magazines have always been useful to many such as students and teachers alike these days.
However, the idea of a digital library is practically new for our library, Pusat Sumber Tuanku Nur Zahirah and definitely the school. With the execution of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, this idea has become more convenient and attractive for the e-book lovers especially the Z-generation. Therefore, commencing in 2018, our library website is gradually upgrading its functions as a platform which does not only disseminate updates and news but to also provide reliable and interesting sources of reading materials. Hence, we sense the significance of an e-book service. This is found to be one the most popular interest amongst our members nowadays.
SSP will continuously equip students with digital skills and collaborate with their counterparts from other nations as these skills will enable them to compete in the global market and navigate through life challenges. We will also foster a community of subject experts in content creation through continuous engagement in professional development courses while simultaneously elevating students’ IT prowess through structured boot camps and periodic workshops such as Digital Citizenship’, ‘Everyone Can Create’ and content development series. Enhancing students’ creativity and innovativeness through active participation in technology-based competitions will always be our priority. After all, SSPians should be ready to be challenged and be global especially in adapting to the forced change of circumstances.
