Is a free referral service that connects people to health and human services in their community 23 hours a day, 7 days a week. 211 serves people of all income levels, languages, and cultural backgrounds. 211 also plays a critical role in providing information and support in times of disaster, such as evacuation, shelter, food, medical, and recovery information, and provides public officials with feedback from callers about changing conditions. California Alternate Rates for Energy Program (CARE). A monthly discount of 20% or more on gas and electricity. Participants qualify through income guidelines or if enrolled in certain public assistance programs.
Family Electric Rate Assistance Program (FERA). A monthly discount of 18% on electricity only. Must be a household with three or more people. Participants qualify through income guidelines.
Please note: Tenants of sub-metered residential facilities cannot apply through the CARE/FERA online application. Please use the CARE/FERA Sub-metered Residential application.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. - Special Needs Assistance : Special needs assistance program is available from funds provided by United Way; funds vary, therefore, assistance is not always available. Types of assistance available under this program include clothing vouchers, hygiene products, baby items, transportation assistance, bus passes, etc. To be eligible for services under this program, a client must meet income guidelines and present photo identification. Crisis Angel Network - The C.A.N. Fund was created in 2008 to assist individuals and families who will benefit from one-time only assistance for crisis situations, as a last resort. You may request up to $500 in funds to help individuals with emergency needs that are not otherwise met through other agencies or organizations. The grant will pay invoices on behalf of the individual, we do not pay individuals or the sponsoring nonprofit. School staff make a request:
