Mission: "Empower academic and emotional development for at-risk youth in San Mateo County"
There are many volunteer positions available including youth program leaders, web developing, photography as well as tutoring. They prefer persons able to work on site, but virtual opportunities are available as well. You must be 15+ to volunteer.

Mission: "The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a rolling-membership volunteer group committed to the promotion and improvement of the library’s teen programs and materials."
The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is accepting applications for new members! Applicants should be in grades 7-12. Meetings are held at Menlo Park Library on the first and third Thursdays of the the month from 4:30-5:30 p.m., and at Belle Haven Library on the first and third Wednesdays from 4-5 p.m. Members are welcome to attend meetings at one or both locations.

Mission: "The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) advises the Parks and Recreation Commission and City staff. The YAC’s purpose is to engage the future leaders of Menlo Park by encouraging youth to take an active leadership role in the community. It aims to foster a greater involvement of youth in municipal government and civic affairs. "
Eligibility
Must be a City of Menlo Park resident
Be entering grades ninth through twelfth for the upcoming academic year and committee term
Be willing to commit time and energy (about 6 hours per month for meetings and events)
Must commit to a one-year term (September to May).

Assist with the Palo Alto Children's Theatre's monthly "Playhouse Productions". These short-form, story-teller-style shows are designed for young audiences, specifically ages two to six. Volunteers primarily serve as cast members and musicians for these performance
Ages: Open to ages 13-High School
What to expect: Playhouse Series auditions are held as a group, and last approximately 90 minutes. No prepared material is needed. Auditions typically consist of improvisation games (and you may be asked to learn a short song).
After Auditions: Monthly Playhouse Productions are cast from a pool of eligible actors through-out the school year. Each production commitment lasts 2 weeks. Community service hours are available.
