Student Clubs

"At East Palo Alto Academy, EPA Con Poder is dedicated to celebrating, sharing, and promoting Latin culture throughout the entire school year. At the heart of our club are community, culture, pride, and belonging. We want students to see their cultures represented at school, feel proud of where they come from, and have opportunities to share their experiences with others."

They meet every Monday in room 221. The lead advisor is Mr. Begley 

"The Black Student Union (BSU) is a welcoming space for students to celebrate Black culture, history, and excellence. Members build community, develop leadership skills, plan events, and create opportunities for students to connect and have their voices heard. The Polynesian Club is a space for students to celebrate and learn about Polynesian cultures, traditions, and communities. Members connect through cultural activities, music, dance, school events, and opportunities to share and learn from one another. All students are welcome to join, learn, connect, and be part of the community!"

"This club is a student-led space where students can learn about immigrant rights, celebrate immigrant communities, and work toward greater equity and inclusion at our school and beyond. The club welcomes all students, regardless of immigration status or background, who want to build a more welcoming and just community. Members will learn about issues affecting immigrant students and families, participate in cultural and educational activities, connect students with helpful resources, organize awareness campaigns and events, and advocate for positive change. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space where students can build community, develop leadership skills, and make sure immigrant voices and experiences are valued."  

They meet twice a month, 1st and last Monday of the month in room 218. The lead advisor is Ms. G

"Bulldog Boxing Club is a fun and positive after-school program designed to help students build fitness, confidence, discipline, focus, and self-control through boxing-inspired training.

Students will learn basic boxing techniques, footwork, conditioning, coordination, and fitness skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The focus is on personal growth, healthy habits, teamwork, and learning how to challenge yourself—this club is not for fighting so there will be no sparring tolerated."
