Other Complaints & Concerns

Other Concerns

At Sentara College of Health Sciences, there may be situations where an individual encounters a concern or situation that requires a resolution. At Sentara, students, visitors, and employees are encouraged to resolve concerns and complaints informally by bringing the matter directly to the individual(s) involved. If the individual(s) are not able to resolve a matter, the individual(s) may file a written complaint or use a specific appeals process (if one applies to their concern/complaint). Additional information regarding complaints can be found in Sentara College Policy: Formal Complaint Process.

Students, at any stage of the process, you may contact the Center for Student Success to assist with resolution for a concern or complaint. The Center for Student Success representative will listen to your concern, explain policies and procedures, help define options and work with you to seek resolution. If a student has a question or concern about the appropriate complaint resolution process for another department/area, the Center for Student Success representative will guide the student to the appropriate office. Depending on the situation, these offices may be able to aid the student in seeking resolution to their matter.

Visitors and employees are encouraged to seek guidance from their supervisor or a college administrator. The same degree of assistance and guidance provided to students will be provided to visitors and employees who have concerns and complaints.

The online system offers the opportunity to share concerns and seek resolution. Use the link to share with us your concerns that may not be addressed by existing policies/procedures.
