Occupational therapy is utilized to support people of all ages, working to maximize an individual's independence in activities they want to do or need to do. Occupational therapists are trained to understand what foundational areas may be impacting people and collaborate with clients and their families to develop strategies to support their success and independence throughout the day.
Sensory Adventures Occupational Therapy primarily works with children who may have difficulty participating in daily activities in their home, school, or community. These activities may be a part of their daily routine that they need to do such as brushing their teeth, or other aspects of their day that they want to do such as joining their peers on the playground.
We utilize a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to support each child. Sessions are tailored to each child’s individual interests in order to ensure the most effective outcome. We hope to collaborate with families, teachers, and other caregivers as we work to better understand your child’s unique profile and promote their ability to reach their highest potential.
