Curriculum Overview

SMP SMA English Department combines course content from Cambridge University Press with validated assessment from Cambridge English Language Assessment. This unique mix of engaging classroom material and reliable assessment, with personalized online practice, enables learners to make consistent and measurable progress.

Teacher discuss the topic using an interactive presentation tools integrated in the smart panel while students actively participating directly or via we conferencing platform (hybrid). Students then practice and strengthen their understanding using an online workbook and quiz in CMLS. Teacher monitor their progress and aids them when needed.

English Department value students’ progress and takes into account every achievements they’ve made in terms of homework, quiz, assignment, classroom practice, and mid or final semester exam.

SMP Syllabus

• 7th Grade

There are 20 units in Cambridge English Prepare level 1 with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

• 8th Grade

There are 12 units in Cambridge English Prepare level 3 with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

• 9th Grade

There are 12 units in Cambridge English Prepare level 4 with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

To prepare students for higher education, we encourage students to take Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint English during grade 9.

There are 12 units in Cambridge English Empower A2 with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

• 11th Grade

There are 10 units in Cambridge English Empower B1+ (standard) and B2 (higher) with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

To prepare students for higher education, we encourage students to take Cambridge IGCSE during grade 9.

There are twelve units in Cambridge English Empower B2 (standard) and C1 (higher) with various activities related to Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Everyday English, Listening and Video, Reading, Speaking and Writing.
