Abaaakes
By:
Angeline Brenda Thong (grade 11)
My name is Angeline Thong. I am a 16 year old high school junior with a deep passion for baking. Ever since I was a child, I have loved creating desserts and experimenting with new recipes. In August 2023, I turned this passion into a business by launching my online bakery, @abaaakes, which I run while balancing school. I initially began by selling tiramisu but later expanded my menu to include thick cookies— one of the first in Surabaya to offer them. My goal is to continue growing my business while pursuing a future in culinary patisserie school.
@abaaakes operates primarily through pre-orders, with nationwide shipping allowing customers from all over the country to enjoy my baked goods. I have also built a strong presence on social media, with over 5,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram, where I showcase my thick cookies, custom cakes, and exclusive hamper sets for celebrations, engagements, and special occasions. Marketing plays a huge role in my business, from engaging with my audience through interactive content of filming behind the scenes “how it’s made” cookie production. I also participate in bazaars, which help me connect with people in person, build brand recognition, and create unique experiences for my customers.
Running my own business has taught me so much beyond just baking. Managing orders and deliveries has helped me develop time management and organizational skills, while customer interactions have strengthened my communication and problem solving abilities. Creating engaging content for social media has given me hands on experience in digital marketing, branding, and audience engagement. Additionally, handling finances, pricing, and budgeting has helped me develop financial management skills. Every challenge I face is an opportunity to grow, and I am excited to continue learning as I work toward making @abaaakes an even bigger success.

Beauty Present Card
By:
Soyoon Kim (Grade 4)
I enjoy crafting, and even though I have lessons about art and craft, I still make time for it. Whenever I attend a friend’s birthday party, I always create a handmade card to make it more special. Over time, I’ve started making unique cards that stand out.
Since I’m from Korea, I incorporate traditional Korean elements into my designs, such as the Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), which makes my cards even more meaningful and unique. I also came up with a logo and a business name, "Beauty Present Card," which reflects the idea of creating beautiful and special cards.
All my custom design have same price. You can have these beautiful card for only Rp 15,000
Do not forget to contact me at soyoonkim@sekolahciputra.sch.id for pre-order
The uniqueness
The uniqueness of my idea lies in its novelty, making it truly one of a kind. I believe my cards can be practical and helpful in everyday life. While there may not be an abundance of uniqueness in the concept itself, my designs stand out with subtle differences that set them apart from others. What truly makes my cards special, though, is the use of origami to create the front shape, adding a distinctive and creative touch.
Future Plan
My future plan is to expand beyond just selling cards. I want to include samples or kits that can help others create their own cards, allowing them to enjoy the process of crafting. In the future, I plan to develop and sell these sample kits alongside my finished products, so buyers can have fun making their own card designs. While my primary focus will remain on selling products, if opportunities arise to expand further, I will definitely pursue them.

KoFoods
By:
Sung Raon (Grade 5)
Who am I?
My name is Sung Raon and I am now in Grade 5. I am the girl who started a small business that is called "KoFoods" that stands for Korean Foods. KoFoods is a small business that sells Korean Food
My Story
I always thought of what would happen if I could be a young entrepreneur? I always tried to make something that others couldn't make like arts and craft that is rare. In PYP, there was a popular/famous movie that is called Squid Game, in that movie there was a candy called Dalgona. When I saw that I had an idea of making Dalgona Candy. I also liked the taste of the candy, the ingredients to make the candy was cheap and very nice to use. I also knew that students and teachers also liked to eat Tteokboki. (Korean spicy rice cake). This time I wanted to make Tteokboki but it was too simple, so I got an idea of making another food called So Tteok - So Tteok. (Rice cake and sausage in a stick with spicy sauce) The name of my business is called KoFoods that stands for Korean Foods.
I started this business when I me and my friends had the Kidpreneur Fair. I like eating Dalgona and So Tteok - So Tteok because it taste good and in Korea it's not that expensive. When I was young, I loved making/cooking foods with my mom and eat the food that we made. So, I wanted to make foods for thr Kidpreneur Fair and finally I decided to make the foods in my Kidpreneur project during my Entrepreneur Unit in Grade 4.
If someone wants to buy my product I usually get PO (Pre - Order). Now I'm still making the same products like the Kidpreneur Fair. I still sell Dalgona and So Tteok - So Tteok. I didn't change the price for the product which is Rp. 10,000 for one Dalgona and Rp. 15,000 for one So Tteok - So Tteok.
My future for my business is to be successful and add more different kinds of foods if I can. I want other people to know the culture from my country and I want them to try new and unique foods. I also want to try to make a website to promote my business and be more successful.
If you are interested in buying my product which is Dalgona and So Tteok - So Tteok you can contact me by my gmail sungraon@sekolahciputra.sch.id to buy my products or meet me and talk to me if you want to buy so that I can put your name in the pre - order list. (ONLY PRE - ORDER) Thank You and let's start pre - ordering!!

MIKE Comics
by:
Michael Soetanto (Grade 10)
My Story
I’ve been a fan of comic books for as long as I can remember. In PYP, I loved reading Captain Underpants, Dog Man, and Marvel superhero books. I also love drawing and do it every day, both at home and at school (at break times of course). So, one day after reading a lot of comic books, I decided to combine both my hobbies and make a comic book. I decided to call my business MIKE Comics. I chose the name because it's my nickname, and now I always put the MIKE Comics logo on all my comic books.
I first started this business when I was young, in PYP, when I made superhero comics called Captain Astral and made copies of it to sell at school. When Covid happened, and everyone stopped going to school, I closed my business and soon forgot about it over the years. In grade 10 I became a fan of superheroes again after watching many Marvel movies and television series and decided that I want to write comic books again. This time I decided to make comic books about new superheroes.
I am currently making new superhero books based on my grade ten experiences and turning them into superhero or supervillain scenarios in my comic books. I make new comic books and release them to the public every one or two weeks. Every comic book I make sells for 10,000 Rupiah.
If you are interested in buying my comic book you can find me in the library or in the canteen where you can talk to me and buy or pre order what comic book you want, you can also contact me by my gmail michaelsoetanto@sekolahciputra.sch.id or you can google chat me Michael Soetanto HS Student

Green Earth Enterprise
Your Waste Is Valuable
by:
PYP Entrepreneur Club 2024
We are PYP students who joined the entrepreneur club this year, driven by our passion and dreams of developing a school business that we can nurture year after year. We are excited about the many opportunities to explore our ideas in the entrepreneur club ECA.
Ms. Evi and Ms. Irene have encouraged us to conduct research around the school to identify problems we face at Sekolah Ciputra. Through our investigations, we discovered that our school generates a significant amount of waste, including paper, cooking oil, and plastics. Additionally, we noticed the potential of our beautiful garden, which could inspire creative designs.
Based on these findings, we conceived the idea of repurposing the resources available at our school. In alignment with SDG 12, which promotes responsible production and consumption, we aim to transform this waste and materials into beautiful, useful items.
We named our startup Green Earth Enterprise because we envision a future where our planet is healthier and greener. We believe that by taking small steps, we can promote a better quality of life by being responsible for our own waste.

Zookie Cookie Club
by:
Abigail Zoe Wang (Grade 10)
As the cliche goes with a lot of businesses, my family and I started baking a lot during the pandemic, from soufflé pancakes to quiche lorraine, a lot of experimenting occurred during the #DiRumahAja period. It was during this time that I reignited my spark for making money. When I was in the 3rd grade, I made stickers from prints and double tape, and sold them to my classmates. By January 2023, I’d developed a chocolate chip cookie recipe that according to a lot of my loyal customers, rivals that of LA’s Famous Amos. To this day, my recipe hasn’t changed a bit, but I am so pleased to say that customers of the Zookie Cookie Club have multiplied tenfold!
My signature smookies (s’mores cookies), a brown sugar butter cookie base, with decadent pools of Belgian dark chocolate, and a gooey, stretchy, marshmallow center, are a crowd favourite, and have been selling out consistently since I started taking pre-orders early last year. My cookies may be considered more deconstructed s’more than cookie. That's probably why it sells well enough that I have waitlists for my pre-orders.
It is surely nice to be able to make a profit at school, but it pleases me more to know that my cookies can be a source of solace and joy for my customers. Although the sheer volume at which certain customers buy cookies in one sitting does raise some concerns (of diabetes), I truly appreciate the fact that it brings them joy to eat them. It is true that every cloud has a silver lining then, if the rabbit hole that was the pandemic, manifested into the Zookie Cookie Club!
I open pre-orders on Instagram, by the username: @thezookiecookieclub. Shameless plug, but do follow if you’re interested in placing an order for the next pre-order! 🍪

Nicole Austine Lee (Grade 6)
My name is Nicole, and I am currently in grade 6. I am the girl who created a small business called "Nicolections". Nicolections is a small business I created that sells accessories such as hair clips and bracelets.
I started Nicolections when I was in grade 4 during my kidpreneur/entrepreneur unit and won the Audience Choice Award. I got the name "Nicolections" a long time ago. I had it when I was around 4–5 years old. I am not exactly sure why it was named "Nicolections," but it was just one simple day, and I found the word "Nicolections" on a piece of glossy paper that I currently use to display my hair clips.
I started this business when I was young, and currently, I enjoy wearing hair clips for my hair because they prevent my bangs from getting in the way of my eyes. When I was young, I loved doing small activities with my mom, and one of them was creating hair clips. I then started to create a hobby of creating hair clips and decided to make it my Kidpreneur project during my Entrepreneur Unit in Grade 4..
I currently use social media platforms such as Instagram to promote Nicolections. Nicolections has an Instagram, and that's where I create new stories and posts for Nicolections new products. I also create captions and try to promote them more to friends and family.
My future business goals are to be successful and to add more products to Nicolections that are not just accessories but other things that might be useful. I also want to try to use more different ways to promote my business.
You can purchase Nicolections hair clips and other accessories by going to our Instagram (@nicolectionsclip) and DM me there! You can also contact me on Gmail/hangout at @nicolectionshairclips@gmail.com or @nicolelee@sekolahciputra.sch.id.

Mikhael Pradipta Abimanyu Hadisiswanto (PYP 4)
I am just an ordinary kid with an allergic condition. My name is Mikha, and I am PYP 4 student. I love to cook, and I find special recipes for my business. I started my business on September 5th, 2022.
When I was a kid I was allergic to many things such as seafood, dust mites, sunlight, dairy food, insect bites and many more. Therefore I cannot eat a lot of food that I like.
I like to cook with my family. One day my dad and I had an experiment with some food ingredients to make my own snacks with special ingredients for allergic kids. I made a special cheese stick. When I brought it to school my friends and teachers loved it. Then I started to sell the cheese sticks until now.
I never thought that I was going to run my own business at such a young age, but my parents kept encouraging me to pursue my dream. When I started to receive orders I decided to make my own logo and tagline for my business. I used logomaker to design it. I know that there are a lot of things that I still need to improve but I am optimistic that I can do it. For now, I only receive pre-orders during the weekend since I need to manage my own time for school and for business. I am afraid that if I open my business in social media I cannot handle a lot of orders for now. However it is not too bad, by using pre-order lists, I can have around 20-50 orders per-week with income around IDR 1,500,000 - 2,000,000/ month.
"Currently, I plan to change my food packaging since I want to improve plastic free usage on my products. However I still find some alternatives that I can use later on.
Prices and Flavors
IDR 6000/pack
IDR 20.000/pack
Original
Seaweed
BBQ
Sweet and Spicy
Sweet Corn

"Creating my own business has always been my dream because I find it more interesting to learn new things through experience. At first, it was scary because I didn’t know how to market my product, however, I also thought that this could be a good idea to implement what I’ve learned in IB business management. Recently I got really bad food allergies as well and couldn’t eat most of the common foods available. Hence, I created this brand Unefille Reveuse, meaning "a girl’s dream" in French which sells healthier alternatives of allergy-friendly foods. Moreover, with this brand I hope to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy diet for our overall body."
"Around March 2023, I published and start marketing my brand on social media platforms (including Instagram and tiktok). During that period, I was still selling innovative bread (bread with a melted vla on the inside), however, I recognized that it would be hard for me to achieve external customers (not only my friends as the customer), therefore I created a vision and mission to create healthier alternatives of allergy-friendly foods, which was officially released on July 14th, 2023."
"Currently, Unefille Reveuse has two products, banana bread and muesli crunch (similar to granola). Store-bought banana bread most of the time consists of eggs and flour. Our banana bread is gluten-free, eggless, dairy free, vegan, and doesn’t contain any preservatives, artificial sugar, or gums, yet it still tastes just like ordinary delicious banana bread. Our muesli crunch has both vegan and non-vegan options, doesn’t have any preservatives, artificial sugar, or gums, is gluten-free, dairy-free, and is high in protein!"
"We are currently in the process of creating a new product that will be released very soon on our social media page, especially on Instagram (@unefille.reveuse)!"
