#ProtectAllWorkers Public Heroes Teletown Hall
Thursday, March 26th at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT
Please encourage all public local members to register and join the #ProtectALLWorkers Public Heroes tele-town hall this Thursday, March 26, at 7 pm Eastern/4 pm Pacific. We’ll come together to hear more about the coronavirus crisis and why now, more than ever, we must invest in our communities and call on corporations to pay their fair share.
As our families and communities face the biggest crisis our country has seen in decades, public employees are on the front lines working together to defeat this historic and deadly pandemic. Public employees are working around the clock negotiating with employers to win important health and safety protections and the transformative telework provisions needed to enable the largest number of employees ever to work from home. We continue our commitment to providing the services our communities need and to support each other, too.
In the weeks to come, SEIU will continually lift up the courageous and inspiring work of our members in our newsletters, calls, opinion pieces, media stories and online. And when the crisis has passed, we will remember that it wasn't the CEOs or billionaires who saved us. It was the first responders, the child care providers, the janitors, the corrections officers, and countless others.
