Theo's 8th Grade Defense Portfolio

I've chosen to theme this site in the lens of music as it is an art form I am quite familiar with and enjoy.  I've done my best to tie each Sustainability Skill to my experience composing and playing the violin to try to express more clarity in my understanding.

Honorable Mention 

In 8th grade for EQS Clean Energy, the project that stood out above all others was my Solar Soarcraft. Me and my friend Avyay came up with and designed an idea for a clean energy transport plane that would fly to a high altitude on a full battery charge, then glide while recharging its battery with onboard solar panels and with the motors that propel the plane being spun by the wind during the glide to generate more power to the battery. Then, it would repeat the process until it reached its destination. I believe that this project fully utilized all five sustainability skills maybe more so than any of the exemplars you will see here. It was truly an amazing project. It pushed my limits as a student but it was also my brainchild. A project I had designed for myself. All in all, I didn’t use it for an SSPR firstly because it's still in process as I write this and secondly, because I think it represents each skill roughly equally and I don’t think it belongs to any individual one. The Solar Soarcraft project was an amazing thing of academic challenge and growth and I think it deserves a place in my portfolio.
