What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is the clinical use of music used in a therapeutic relationship between therapist and clients to promote personal growth and improve quality of life. A music therapist uses music as a tool to build relationships, teach healthy ways of behaving and thinking, and teach life skills.
At SEEM Prep music therapy looks to address the goal areas of communication and social skills, and creates outlets for purposeful expression, cognitive development, academic achievement and transfer, motor skills, and physical health.
