Please call SEEM Prep by 7:30 AM if your child is going to be sick or absent from school.

Please also:
Call your child's transportation company as early as possible to let them know not to pick up your child from school that day.
Call them each day your child is absent.
For your reference, please write down your child's transportation company and telephone number in a handy place, such as making them a contact in your cell phone.
SICKNESS POLICY 2020-2021
SEEM Collaborative follows the recommendations of the local Department of Public Health (DPH) for excluding students from school for health reasons. To assure the safety and health of the school community, the local DPH recommends the school nurse exclude students from school if the student:
Has a temperature over 100.4 degrees.
Has a deep frequent cough.
Has Strep Throat and has not been on antibiotic therapy for 24 hours.
Has Conjunctivitis/Pink Eye and has not been on antibiotic therapy for 24 hours.
Has been vomiting.
Has diarrhea occurring 2 or more times in one day.
Has Chickenpox with an active rash.
Has Shingles with an active rash that cannot be covered.
Has untreated head or body lice.
Has a condition that requires immediate intervention.
Has a condition that requires ongoing supervision, which cannot be adequately provided in the school setting.
Poses a significant health risk to others in the normal course of school activities.
Or has other conditions that the School Nurse may deem necessary to intervene.
