I am excited and grateful to begin my second year of teaching here at Blessed Francis Seelos Academy. I taught Middle School for 10 years at Providence Heights Alpha School and have a great appreciation for Catholic School Education. I am passionate about teaching and am thrilled to guide my students on their pathway of learning. I am also the Director of the Spring Musical at North Catholic High School!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. I also have my Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from the University of Pittsburgh. I have done a lot of research in my undergraduate program to help make history a memorable and engaging subject for my students.
I believe that all students are unique and have the ability to learn and grow. I will meet my students' learning needs to help them reach their goals. As an educator I will support, encourage, and challenge my students. I will foster an inclusive classroom environment, incorporate Social Emotional Learning, and promote a community of learners. I will support my students in problem solving and critical thinking. I will foster an environment where my students feel secure to take risks and try new things.
