Social Studies:

Earle Dickson was an American inventor best known for inventing adhesive bandages in the US. He lived in Highland Park, New Jersey, for a large portion of his life. Dickson was a cotton buyer at the Johnson & Johnson company. His wife, Josephine Knight, often cut herself while doing housework and cooking.

    • *Complete # 4 p. 57 - Read the sentences and underline the effect: Three children want apples for a snack. There is only one apple. Two children must pick a different snack.

    • *Complete # 5 p. 57 - Think of a time you had to choose between two things. what did you choose? How did you decide?

    • * Complete "Personal Journal" or on a separate sheet of paper - Draw 4 boxes in your journal or fold a sheet of paper evenly to make 4 boxes. Make a comic strip - Draw a comic strip in the 4 boxes showing a trade-off that you have made. Write why you made your decision and if you were happy with it. What was the opportunity cost?
