If we haven't met, you might be surprised to know my name is pronounced like "Righter."

The 2020-21 school year will be my 21st year teaching at Academy Park. I know I don't look old enough to have been teaching that long. I started when I was 5 ;)

I also coach Field Hockey and Lacrosse, I am the National Honor Society Adviser, and I coordinate the What's Your Passion Festival at the school.

My family is very close, even though we live far apart. My parents live in North Carolina and my sister lives in Denver, Colorado. I have two nephews who are in 9th and 11th grades this year.

I moved around a bunch growing up, but I've been in Delaware County since 8th grade. I graduated from Strath Haven High School. College took me to Penn State (the BEST school!), where I graduated with a BS in Secondary Education - Math and a minor in Spanish. I got my Masters in Professional and Secondary Education from West Chester University while I was teaching at Academy Park. I have taught my entire professional career at Academy Park!

Sports are a HUGE part of my life. I love to play them, coach them, and watch them. I love interacting with people through sports. As I said above, I coach field hockey and lacrosse here at AP. I played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse in high school. As an adult, I still play soccer and basketball, and added in field hockey, softball, and golf. I also do kickboxing at the UFC Gym.
