BottleApp will process users’ personal data for the following purposes:
Manage user registration and authentication within the application.
Enable the publication, interaction, and display of content (bottles, comments, followers, etc.).
Send push and in-app notifications related to user activity.
Provide technical support and customer service.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Data will not be used for purposes other than those described above.
The processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds:
Performance of a contract: necessary to provide the service and manage the user account.
Explicit consent: granted when accepting this policy or enabling specific features (such as notifications or location access).
Compliance with legal obligations: applicable to BottleApp Messenger S.L.
BottleApp may process the following categories of personal data:
Identification data: name, username, email address, encrypted password.
Interaction data: followers, following, posts, comments, notifications.
Geolocation data: when the user authorises it to publish a bottle.
Multimedia content: photos, videos, and audio uploaded by the user.
Technical data: IP address, app version, device model, and operating system.
Personal data will be retained for as long as the user’s account remains active.
Once the account is deleted, data will be blocked for the legally required periods (generally up to 5 years) and subsequently deleted securely.
Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties, except:
Technology service providers acting as data processors, necessary for the operation of the app (e.g., hosting, push messaging, analytics).
Public authorities when required by law.
BottleApp does not sell or commercially exploit personal data under any circumstances.
No international transfers of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are foreseen.
If such transfers become necessary in the future, BottleApp will ensure that appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with Article 46 of the GDPR.
Users may exercise the following rights at any time:

Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erase their data when it is no longer necessary (right to be forgotten).
Restrict processing in certain circumstances.

BottleApp reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy when necessary, informing users via a visible notice in the application or by email.
By registering and using BottleApp, the user acknowledges that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy and accepts the processing of their personal data as described.
