Meet Mrs. Debel

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Beth Debel, and I am excited to be teaching your Kindergarten student this year. I have been teaching for 15 years; however, this is my first year to teach Kindergarten. I earned my bachelors in elementary education from Point Loma Nazarene University with an emphasis in literature, and my masters in curriculum and instruction from Walden University with an emphasis in math education. I have had the privilege to teach at SECS for 11 of my 15 teaching years. Five of these years I spent in 6th grade, 4 in fifth grade, and 2 in third grade. I have a teaching license through the state of Colorado as well as ACSI. I am also blessed to serve our school on SALT (Southeast Advisory Leadership Team).

Teaching is a God given calling on my life. It is something I have wanted to pursue since in was in first grade. I consider it an honor and a privilege to teach, guide, and disciple each student placed in my classroom. I recognize each student as a unique creation of God and desire to individualize my instruction to best meet each of their needs and encourage them in their strengths and talents. I desire for all my students to be engaged in their learning through creativity and interaction with their peers. It is important to me that students participate in hands on experiences and learn to be responsible for their own learning and goal setting all within a loving and safe environment. I desire to cultivate a classroom culture that honors God, loves others, and strives to serve.

I live in Parker, CO with my husband, Brandon, and two daughters, Celeste and Coralee. Both of the girls attend SECS. It is a blessing to work at the same fabulous school where my own children attend.
