SUPERTMATIK Mental Math Competition
SUPERTMATIK Mental Math Competition
International Grand Finale (April 20 - May 8, 2026)
The SUPERTMATIK Mental Math Competition is an international mathematics competition organised by EUDACTICA. It focuses on developing students’ mental calculation skills through engaging and interactive challenges.
This competition is open to students aged 6 to 15 (Grades 1 to 9) and is recognised worldwide, with hundreds of thousands of participants each year.
Our school proudly participates in this competition every year, encouraging students to strengthen their mental maths abilities and enjoy mathematics in a fun and competitive way.
Purpose of the Competition
The SUPERTMATIK Competition aims to:
Improve mental arithmetic speed and accuracy
Develop concentration and problem-solving skills
Promote confidence and motivation in Mathematics
Encourage learning through fun and interactive challenges
It transforms mathematics practice into an enjoyable experience while maintaining a strong focus on learning.
How the Competition Works (Our School Approach)
In our school, the competition is conducted using the online platform rather than physical playing cards.
Phase 1 – Registration
To register for 2026 edition register here (registrations closed)
Phase 2 – Pre-selection (In-School)
Students participate in computer-based challenges using the SUPERTMATIK platform.
They complete activities such as:
Time Attack mode (speed-based challenges - maximum time of 55 seconds)
Vs Robot mode (solving calculations under time pressure - playing vs Jesper)
Students are given multiple attempts, and their best result is recorded (15-minutes= time window)
The top-performing students are selected to represent the school.
(Note: In our school, this phase is done entirely digitally and does not involve physical cards.)
Final Phase – International Online Final
Selected students represent the school in the International Grand Final.
This usually takes place between April and May each year.
Students complete a timed challenge to solve 15 calculations as quickly and accurately as possible
Incorrect answers result in time penalties
Final results are typically released in May, and students may receive certificates, medals, and prizes depending on their ranking.
Why Students Should Participate
Participating in the SUPERTMATIK Competition helps students:
Improve mental maths fluency
Develop speed and accuracy under pressure
Build confidence in problem-solving
Experience international-level competition
It is an excellent opportunity for students to challenge themselves and take their mathematical skills to the next level.
