BIO CREATION PROCEDURE
A professional biography, or “bio,” allows for a new team member to be introduced to the client’s POC.
It should include professional and/or educational background and a few personal details. Keep in mind this is a business bio so it must be professional in tone.
A few tips:
Begin your bio by stating your first and last name
State your company or team name and role
Write a story, not a list
Your bio should get to the core of who you are
Engage the reader with interesting facts about you and tie in your value or how you are looking forward to contributing in some way
You can link your hobby/fact to your professional approach (for example: coming from a big family allowed me to appreciate great teamwork)
Review your bio for grammatical mistakes
Follow these guidelines when creating a bio for a new team member:
Template
Use SEBPO’s standard document template (shown below). Established formats must not be changed or altered.
Introduction
Include name, and how the person would prefer to be addressed (if applicable)
Include where the person is from
Professional / Educational Background
Include educational background
Include relevant certifications
Include prior professional background (if applicable)
If the resource has worked on other SEBPO teams, include:
The type of client in which they’ve previously worked, such as Publisher, Agency, Ad Server Platform. (Do not name the specific client.)
Experience on relevant platforms such as GAM, TTD, Simpli.fi, etc.
Experience with relevant tasks types
Personal Information
Include hobbies or interesting/personal facts
Picture
The picture can be a personal photo, but should be appropriate for a professional audience. The background, clothes and posture must be acceptable at a professional level.
