To be considered as a recipient for the Seattle Youth Education Award, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a part-time or full-time 2-year or 4-year college/university/vocational college
- One professional letter of reference from your school, written by a guidance counselor or teacher (must be directly e-mail to: seattlesikheducationfoundation@gmail.com). Optional personal letter of recommendation is recommended.
- Most recent transcript of your academic records. Must demonstrate minimum cumulative GPA 3.00.
- Submit written responses to the following questions along with your application: (500 words or less)
- How will you benefit from this scholarship?
- Identify a social issue in your community or among your peers and how will you plan to solve it?
- What are your future aspirations and how do you plan to give back to the community?
- Note: You will be required to show income proof only if you are selected for the award
