Jim is a 1998 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School, where he wrestled and played football. As a wrestler he was a District champion, Inter-regional Champion, and state qualifier at 189 lbs. After high school, he attended Lock Haven University where he continued wrestling before deciding to join the rugby team. While at Lock Haven he earned a degree in Environmental Biology, and eventually returned to complete a master’s degree in Education. This led him back to Selinsgrove High School where he is currently teaching Physics and Environmental Science.
Jim’s coaching career has spanned several sports including wrestling, football, and baseball at both the youth and jr. high/high school levels. He was an assistant coach to both Todd Myers and Seth Martin in the past but has more recently been involved in youth sports while coaching his sons. He is excited once again to get the opportunity to help shape the athletes of the Selinsgrove wrestling program.
Tracy Hepner has been an assistant coach for nine years with the Selinsgrove Girls Soccer team. She is an avid sports enthusiast and often seen at many sporting events. This is a new adventure for Mrs. Hepner but she is excited to be coaching again and being actively involved with an up and coming girl's sport. This aligns with her youth, as she was the first female to be awarded a varsity letter in soccer at Selinsgrove . She is an empty nester parent of two daughters and one was a collegiate sportsman so this is a perfect fit of her time and coaching talents.
