*** Winter Training Dates 26 DEC 2023 to 01 JAN 2024***

*** STAFF OFFICERS AND STAFF CADETS FORMALLY REPORT ON 26 DEC 2023 between 0900-1000 ***

Welcome to Combined Training Command Puget Sound!

FORT WORDEN, PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON

During their time at Fort Worden each cadet will receive extensive training.  They will be challenged physically, mentally, and academically on a daily basis.  From reveille at 0600, until taps at 2200, every minute will be spent sharpening and polishing themselves.  The cadets are held to the highest standards of each courses' curriculum, which are consistent with the mission and goals of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Navy League Cadet Corps.  They will return home standing a little taller, a little more responsible, and a little more mature than when they arrived.

Please see the Welcome Aboard letter here.

Discipline

This is a ZERO TOLERANCE training environment.  There are no second chances for misbehavior, especially in cases of bullying, harassment (verbal, sexual and/or physical), language and/or violence (physical or verbal).  "Boys will be boys" or "kids are unpredictable" are not excuses that will be tolerated at this training.  Parents and Commanding Officers, please note this strict Zero Tolerance policy.

Commanding Officers, please make sure your cadets (and their parents) are made aware of this policy.  Parents will be required to pick up their cadets, or arrange for transportation.  Please remind the parents/guardians that "training week" is not the time to schedule a vacation.  If no parent/guardian is available to escort a cadet home who has been dismissed, for disciplinary or medical reasons, we will have no option but to call the WA State Department of Health and Human Services for assistance.

Registration

Registration will not be confirmed until all required elements in the Parent Portal for training registration have been completed. DO NOT send registration fees until you have been confirmed.

Medical and Special Needs Forms

If your cadet has any medical needs or a request for accommodation, or has a special dietary need, please be sure they are properly listed during registration in the Parent Portal in Magellan.  If a cadet shows up without prior authorization on any medications or dietary needs, we will be unprepared for the cadet and will have no option but to turn them away.
