Trip to Song Dog Farm Distillery
April 26 (Sunday)
We’re planning an outing to Song Dog Farm Distillery in Boyds, MD for Sunday afternoon, April 26th. Right now, we’re trying to get a general idea of how many people are interested.
The event is a tour of the distillery (and enjoyment of their beverages), plus a Brotherhood program with Rabbi Alexander. The event is free to register, but you have to pay for any food or drinks you have at the event.
Song Dog is owned and run by two Adas Israel members. While this is put on by the Brotherhood, it is open to everyone. This is a family-friendly event.
We are still just gauging interest, for planning purposes and for carpooling. Please email Bill Levenson, blevenson@gmail.com and let us know if you are able to drive, or if you would need a ride.
UPCOMING APRIL PROGRAMS (Please note: registration now open)
Sunday, April 19th, 1 PM: we will visit Loew Vineyards, now one of only two certified kosher wineries in Maryland. The Men's Club will be treating you to your first glass of wine!
We want to thank DR. Abby Adler Mandel for a terrific presentation on Coping with Stress this past Sunday, before an enthusiastic audience of 70, and to Michael Greene and Kamran Azhdam for the delicious breakfast.
The registration for the Lowe's Winery visit is now open. This is direct from Rachel Lipman, vineyard owner and winemaker: "We will be doing something a bit different this year with your group at the winery. It’s going to be really special. We’re going to start at 1pm with my mom sharing my grandfather’s story followed by a pop-up exhibit of the Löw family and my grandfather’s life after the war." The Men's Club will be picking up the tab for your first glass of wine, and there are snacks to purchase, or you can bring your own. Registration is limited, and limited to you and one guest.
