Working drawings or construction drawings provide dimensioned, graphical information that can be used; by a contractor to construct the works, or by suppliers to fabricate components of the works or to assemble or install components. Along with specifications and bills of quantities or schedules of work, they form a part of the 'production information', that is prepared by designers and passed to the construction team to enable a project to be constructed.

The term ‘exceptional practice’ (every so often used interchangeably with ‘good practice’) refers back to the approach or approach via way of means of which an interest is completed and pertains to sure requirements which have been set up in phrases of quality, ethics, regulations, benchmarking, and so on.
Vernacular architecture can be defined as a type of local or regional construction, using traditional materials and resources from the area where the building is located. Consequently, this architecture is closely related to its context and is aware of the specific geographic features and cultural aspects of its surroundings, being strongly influenced by them. For this reason, they are unique to different places in the world, becoming even a means of reaffirming an identity.
One such approach towards vernacular architecture is followed by Ar.Malak Singh Gill.
Malaksingh Gill is a Mumbai based architect practicing architecture inspired by local, alternative building materials, construction techniques and crafts since 1999.
His practice looks into making very efficient and environmentally friendly buildings.
There is a very specific methodology which they follow for every type of project, as every structure has to respond to the context these steps are followed.
- Research before design: Before taking up designing, we do a recce of the area in terms of the architecture, construction styles and technologies, construction details, permutations and combinations of various materials used. We look at our observations in the physical, social and political context of the place before drawing conclusions and inspirations for our design.
-Value of the context : Architecture, just like the flora and fauna of a place, has to spring from the place itself. It has to belong to that particular habitat and be one with nature and people of the area. That is precisely why, no two structures designed by Ar. Malaksingh Gill looks the same. While making all decisions, big or small - right from the planning and zoning, material selection to small details in finishing, the main factor to consider is always the context and the relationship of our intervention with that context.
-Local Materials : While using natural materials, one has to bear in mind the environmental and social impact of utilizing that material. A 'cradle to cradle' approach is adapted to do this analysis; focusing on the embodied energy of a material.
-Local Skills : We do not have any fixed team of contractors / masons / carpenters. Before starting a project, an effort is made to understand the local skills and technologies. The design is completed bearing in mind that the project has to be completed by the locals only. Thus, the local economy is boosted and this gives the villagers a sense of belonging towards the architecture.
-Respecting the limits : While designing, an architect encounters numerous choices; right from planning, material selection to various stages of execution of the project. by limiting ourselves and committing to the natural material wood, we make sure to control our structural grids accordingly. The approach of an architect must consider these limits that are intrinsic to not just the properties of materials, but also the locality, site, function and various other aspects of the project.
-Natural materials : We believe in the use of natural materials and avoiding the use of artificial and toxic chemicals. Building with natural materials and using passive cooling, we ensure that the building itself breathes and is, like the user, healthy and respectful of the environment.
