The initial exercises of the studio involved understanding and engaging with curvilinear lines. Begun intuitively, the lines developed to represent ideas like flow, fluid, tangle, chaos and many more. We took the ideas of flow and fluid forward to formal experiments on a beachfront site. The space was imagined as a retreat or a sanctuary and a community space at the same time. The formal experiments developed into a series of built forms scattered amongst the unbuilt connected through boardwalks. The designed evolved with the model making process which helped understand the structural integrity and working of the design.
