Market As A Park

The site observations revealed an existing market along the lake's edge, complemented by an ISKCON temple nearby. This setting highlighted the community's need for a leisure space that could enhance the overall experience for visitors to the market and temple. Recognizing the potential of the lakefront as a focal point, we envisioned creating a park that integrates seamlessly with the pre-existing activities. 

The concept aimed to retain the existing programs, such as the market and temple visits, while reimagining the site as a cohesive, multifunctional space. By transforming the entire area into a park, we sought to provide more than just isolated facilities. The design focused on enhancing the lakefront as a destination that offers relaxation, interaction, and a sense of community for all visitors. This approach ensures that every element, from the market to leisure spaces, works together to create a vibrant and engaging environment.
