LANDSCAPE DESIGN
OBSERVATIONS-
The following sketches shows the before and after scenarios of the area. There is a drastic shift seen in the edge conditions of the Amarsons garden and the informal settlement in the area. Due the construction on the reclaimed land, the interactive edge which acted as a active public place has become more introverted, and it no longer has visual utility or interactiveness as before.

CONCEPT-
The design has an intent of creating a visual connectivity with the sea, which is lost due the construction of the road. By raising some parts of the landscape the design creates visual connection with the water . To active the public interaction the risen space has viewing points and safety railing, another aspect was to create an experience of being at the coastal edge which was done by adding rocky seating space throughout the design. The vegetation in itself creates pathways and circulation. The softscapes and slightly raised land creates ways to welcome human interaction whereas the dense vegetation does not and it leads to creation of a forest like ecology.
