Malak Singh Gill
2022
This course is intended to help students to generate a framework of design through an ecological understanding of cultures. The first part of the course will be conducted through extensive case studies of works and analysis of the same towards deriving design methods. The analysis will have twin components - first, a reading of the ecology; and second, the built-form response to the same.
These methods shall be then distilled to develop a framework for ecological approach for reading contexts and designing in them. The second part of the course will involve using the above framework to demonstrate an ecological reading of the context and designing an intervention.
