Module 1

PART 1

DREAMS

Our module began with the word "DREAM," which inspired us to create vivid images on paper. I envisioned a final scene from a mysterious story in which a girl is holding a shotgun, leaving the ending uncertain.

ABOUT THIS

The reviews on my first drawing described it as SYMBOLIC, which led me to consider other ways of drawing. I realized that there is no clear distinction between negative and positive aspects in colors, space, or anything else; it's simply a matter of perspective and how we choose to see it.

NOT SO SYMBOLIC!

After my first drawing, I learned about various ways to express our feelings through art without making it too obvious or symbolic. My initial drawing reflects a sense of anger, revenge, guilt, and satisfaction.

PART 2

GROUP 5

We were divided into five different groups after our initial drawing, which led us to create a larger drawing by incorporating similar elements from each team member.

The elements that contributed to our group drawing included the arches, aqueducts, the crowd, and a sense of movement, all of which created a feeling of being lost. We were also assigned teaching assistants who helped us throughout this module, despite their tight schedules, which ultimately led us to produce this very structured drawing.

GROUP 5

This module taught me and many others that there is no straightforward way out of any situation; you have to keep trying until you reach your goal. Along the way, you may encounter many rejections, which can help you learn more effective strategies to overcome them. These experiences ultimately make you better at what you do.

GROUP MODEL

From our drawing, we identified three key elements: movement, depth, and density. These elements led us to the concept of an anthill, illustrating how they interact within our idea.

PROTOTYPE

We began with small-scale models, combining our ideas to create something truly remarkable. Our goal was to portray the experience of being inside an anthill—conveying the density and the sense of disorientation that it brings.

FINAL MODEL

In this module, we learned how to transform small key elements from our drawings into a giant structure, where all these key elements are present, creating a sense of an anthill.

MODULE 2

PART 1

In this module, we visited Borivali Station for live sketching. The process involved observing our surroundings and understanding about the SPACE, choosing a view, and then expanding on it from different perspectives.

INITIAL

FINAL

I was observing the structured skywalk and the chaos beneath it, which I tried to capture on paper and understand how things are creating a space. The review went well here after trying to draw the same space for the 6th time. This process involves going to the site again and again observing the space and the things that are creating a space and then putting all those things on a large sheet and expanding the drawing in many ways.

PART 2

MODEL

THE KALEIDOSCOPES!

My drawing depicted a structured view of the skywalk, contrasting with the chaos happening below. It illustrates how we don't have a fixed perspective; rather, something constantly catches our attention and shifts our viewpoint within seconds. Changes its perspectives within seconds.

This gave me the idea of mirrors reflecting many things at one time which creates chaos and everything, also a structure which creates a space where you can see many things at the same time and can't concentrate on one thing ,That is when kaleidoscopes came into the story.

This module was so fun but also at the same time, thinking about it, I would prefer a group model due to the expenses.
