About Mrs. Stevens...I love teaching and spending time with students! After spending 16 years in business, I finally turned to the profession I love most: teaching. I became a teacher 25 years ago after earning my Master's Degree in Education and Cross-Cultural Teaching at National University in San Diego. I have lived in San Diego for 38 years. My hometown is a town called Placerville, which is in Northern California, near Lake Tahoe.
This September, I will have been married to my wonderful husband, Brian, for 29 years!
I have two children, Jack Henry and Emma Grace. They are both graduates of LCC and California State University San Marcos. Jack lives and works in Spain, and Emma is earning her Elementary Teaching Credential.
We also have a yellow Labrador. His name is Ben.
My favorite books are
To Kill a Mockingbird
and
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
My favorite movie is Remember the Titans.
My favorite sports team is the Boston Celtics.
I love music and will play it every day when students enter my classroom and during working time. My favorites vary from Bad Company to Journey to Phil Collins to Prince to Bruno Mars to Harry Styles and Pink. I listen mostly to Classic Rock, 70's, 80's, 90's, and Today's Hits...I love it all! That's why music is played in my classroom every day!
I love all things Halloween and have Halloween stuff up all year round!!
My favorite foods are tacos and chips and salsa. I could eat them every day! There is a lot of taco talk (talk-o) in my class!
My favorite drink is Diet Coke, or plain old water.
