Hello! I am Mr. Torkelson, and I am excited to begin the school year as your math teacher at Pacific Trails Middle School. This is my 5th year teaching in Pacific Trails, and I am so honored to be working in the best school in all of San Diego.
Hello! I am Mr. Torkelson, and I am excited to begin the school year as your math teacher at Pacific Trails Middle School. This is my 5th year teaching in Pacific Trails, and I am so honored to be working in the best school in all of San Diego.
I grew up in Chicago, but moved out to San Diego to attend San Diego State University, where I got my Bachelors in Mathematics and minored in Child & Family Development. I then went on to UC Irvine and got my Master's of Art in Teaching & Teaching Credential.

I've spent time studying abroad in Finland, focusing there on sustainability in Education. In my free time, I like to play volleyball and basketball, play the drums, cooking & baking, and relax playing video games and watching TV. I have a Boston Terrier named Little, and I am a volunteer at the San Diego Zoo! I also am a coach for girls volleyball at CCA.
