Math A Skills

The Math A Skills class is designed to help students to be successful in their Math A class. In Math A Skills, we review current topics being covered in Math A and preview topics that are coming up. Students have the opportunity to ask questions about material being taught in Math A that might be challenging for them. We spend time practicing basic math skills, such as operations with fractions, decimals, and percent. In-class tasks and activities connect the math students learn in Math A to the real world to give a better understanding of the material being studied. We also spend time developing and maintaining effective study skills, such as staying organized, knowing how, when, and where to get help on homework, following through with assignments, and preparing for quizzes and tests.

For more information, please refer to the Math A Skills Class Information handout that students received the first week of school.

This site offers student and parent support for the district's math curriculum. Students and parents are able to view and/or print modules and homework assignments and access videos and worksheets for extra practice.
