Hello. My name is Mr. Siegel and I teach AP Environmental Science, College Prep Biology, and coach Varsity Lacrosse at Canyon Crest Academy.
Back in the day, I attended CCA as a student, where I fell in love with science and had the best teachers a student can ask for. Eight years after graduating (I was in the Class of 2012, the fifth graduating class in the history of CCA), I return as a teacher to give students the same amazing experience I had.
After graduating CCA, I attended Chapman University, where I studied Kinesiology, the study of movement. While at Chapman, I also played on the men's lacrosse team.
After graduating from Chapman in 2016, I traveled the world and lived in Israel, where I coached lacrosse to kids in schools and ran an after school team in Netanya. I also played lacrosse professionally in Israel, both domestically for a club in Netanya and on the international stage, where I represented Israel in the 2016 European Championships and 2018 World Championships.
When I returned home, I went back to school and attended the University of San Diego to earn my teaching credential and Master’s Degree in Education.
Outside of school, you'll find me coaching varsity lacrosse at CCA, playing lacrosse for my men's team, hiking, surfing, playing basketball, or hanging out with my family and family. Last but certainly not least, in June 2023, I married my high school sweetheart while surrounded by bridesmaids and groomsman that all went to CCA with us.
STAY WEIRD CCA 🙂
