Mrs. Sandy grew up in the beautiful artist colony of Laguna Beach. She completed her BA in Mathematics, Spanish minor, and teaching credential at the University of San Diego. After college, Mrs. Sandy moved to Del Mar and taught 6-8th math for 5 years at St. James Academy. She focused on building a strong foundation of algebra & geometry for her students throughout their 3 consecutive years together. She also brought her dog Oso to her classroom :) Mrs. Sandy has a wild & crazy 6 year old boy who is the joy of her life outside the classroom. In her free time she enjoys relaxing at the beach, practicing yoga, zumba, photography, snowboarding, and visiting her family in Laguna. This will be her 5th year at Torrey Pines.
