I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. I graduated from Centennial High School where I participated in the We The People program, the Centennial Marching Hawks, Jazz Band, and the ASB as a Rally Commissioner.
I went on to major in Political Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. During my time at Cal Poly, I had the opportunity to intern for Congress, join the Political Science Club, and be an Orientation Leader for incoming Freshmen.
After graduating from college, I had the amazing experience of teaching English in South Korea, then backpacked through Europe. I can't wait to go back.
I returned to Cal Poly, SLO to earn my teaching credential. After that, I taught Social Science at Atascadero High School. I recently completed my M.A. Ed. Administration at Cal State San Marcos.
I believe education is a powerful tool for self-improvement and a right for every person. I'm thrilled to be part of the Maverick Family!
