​In our classroom this year, we will focus on the way scientists think, gather data, make claims, and support them with evidence, all the while learning our 8th Grade Science Content Standards.  8th Grade Science is a year-long, inquiry-oriented and integrated science course for 8th graders.  Over the course of the year, students will investigate topics in life science, physical science, Earth science and engineering.  Such topics include: electricity, waves and information transfer, astronomy, force and motion, evolution, and genetics. A major emphasis will be on developing skills necessary for scientific inquiry, literacy and use of technology.
