Mrs. Grillot (Gree-yoh) has over 22 years of experience teaching and working with students in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC, and San Diego. She has credentials to teach English, Elementary Grades, Reading, and English Language Development.
Mrs. Grillot graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a Major in English and a Minor in Peace Studies. Some awards she earned in college were an Honors Program four year, full-tuition scholarship and the Lincoln Medallion (1 award given to a graduating senior from each IL college by the state governor). She worked for the school paper and had a publishing internship her senior year.
She received her teaching credential through a partnership with Northwestern University & the Inner-City Teaching Corps. She has a Masters of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Reading from National University. In May of 2025, the San Diego County Office of Education awarded Mrs. Grillot a Leadership in Biliteracy Award for her work with the Multilingual Learner Program at PTMS.
Mrs. Grillot is married and her children are 15 and 17. She likes yoga, kayaking, camping, reading, and photography. She has 2 dogs.
