8th Grade US History addresses a wide range of cultural, geographic, and historical topics from the Colonial Period to the Early 20th Century. Some of the major events in this course include The American Revolution, The Constitution, Westward Expansion, The Civil War, Reconstruction, and Industrialization. In addition, current events and modern history will be monitored. The class will involve many types of learning experiences including lectures, projects, presentations, discussions, group work, and regular testing.
SEI World History covers a wide range of cultural, geographic, and historical topics from the Medieval Period around the globe. Some of the major themes in the class will include Ancient Rome, Islamic Empires, China, Japan, Meso-America, West Africa, the European Middle Ages and Renaissance. In addition, current events and modern history will be monitored. The class will involve many types of learning experiences including lectures, projects, presentations, discussions, group work, and regular testing.
