8th Grade US History addresses a wide range of cultural, geographic, and historical topics from the Colonial Period to the Early 20th Century. Some of the major events in this course include The American Revolution, The Constitution, Westward Expansion, The Civil War, Reconstruction, and Industrialization. In addition, current events and modern history will be monitored. The class will involve many types of learning experiences including lectures, projects, presentations, discussions, group work, and regular testing.
Those enrolled in SEI History will focus on many of the same themes as the regular course while further developing English skills. SEI History addresses a wide range of cultural, geographic, and historical topics from the 1600s to the early 20th Century. Some of the major events in this course include the creation of the United States along with its government, expansion, and The Civil War. In addition, current events will also be monitored in this class. The course will involve many types of learning experiences including lectures, projects, presentations, discussions, group work, and regular testing.
