Amy Villanova
Mrs. Villanova teaches Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra and the IM Conservatory. She has been teaching at CCA since 2004. She has a Masters of Music Education degree from the USC Thornton School of Music, received her teaching credential from SDSU and her Bachelor of Arts in Music (Music Education and Flute Performance) from UCLA. She is on the board of the San Diego Winds and is active within the SCSBOA and CMEA communities.
Nate Jarrell
Guitarist Nate Jarrell can be seen performing in venues throughout the Southern California area ranging from solo guitar to larger jazz ensembles. He holds a Masters degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University. In addition to his work as a performer, Nate teaches jazz band, rock band, Digital Composition and Recording Arts at Canyon Crest Academy. He is also the director of the Jazz 88.3 Summer Jazz Workshop.
Chris Johnson
Julian "Chris" Johnson has been living in Hawaii since the age of 6. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He took his first band director job on the island of Molokai, teaching 7th through 12th grade band and choir. After four years on Molokai, he moved to the Big Island and taught band and guitar at Kealakehe High School in Kona for 11 years. He has played clarinet with the Kona Music Society and the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra, and he played flute, clarinet, and saxophone for the Aloha Performing Arts Company.
