Symposium Description
The 16th Southern California Flow Physics Symposium (So Cal Fluids XVI) will be held in person at SDSU on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
This educational symposium aims to bring together a group of approximately seventy graduate students from universities throughout Southern California, working in all areas of fluid dynamics, for a one-day exchange of ideas in an informal and collaborative atmosphere. The symposium presents a low-pressure environment in which students get to practice their presentation skills on their ongoing work in 10 presentations that are consistent with the APS-DFD meetings.
To promote education and exposure, talks are invited from graduate students and postdocs, as well as from undergraduates who have been pursuing research.
Undergraduate students are highly encouraged to attend.Â
Presentation format
Contributed talks are limited to 10 minutes with 2 additional minutes for discussion. This is followed by 1 minute for transition to the next talk and introduction of the next speaker.
