Women in Sports is open to ALL SDSU students interested in a career in sports, with a focus on supporting women and nonbinary individuals.

Our Mission

Established in 2021 at San Diego State University, SDSU Women in Sports is a student-led organization focused on fostering a dedicated and supportive community of women and nonbinary individuals pursuing careers in the male-dominated sports industry. We strive to provide our members with professional development opportunities, networking events, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that empower them to break barriers, build confidence, and thrive in all areas of the sports world.

When are our weekly meetings?

Our general body meetings are every Tuesday from 5:45-6:45 PM in the Presidential Suite on the third floor of the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union!

Weekly meetings will vary between speaker meetings, career development workshops, networking opportunities, and social events. Check the home page for a monthly schedule!

Membership and Points 

To be considered an official member of Women in Sports, individuals must pay our membership dues. For more information on dues pricing and payment details, please visit the membership page.

The opportunity to be an MVP member is available if the following criteria are met throughout one semester:

• Earn 8 points total (the following MUST be within the 8 points): 

  • 3 meeting points 

  • 1 event point 

  • 1 workshop/social point
