Anna (she/her) is a data-driven, multilingual school counseling graduate student and advocate at San Diego State University. She has an array of experiences ranging from early childhood education to higher education, supporting students and families through an ecological and student centered lens. My name is Kate Boscolo. My background is in Psychology and Special Education, and I have been working with students for over nine years. Amaris is a first generation college graduate, daughter of immigrants, and the third sibling in her family to obtain a Master’s Degree from San Diego State University. With passion for systemic and social change, Amaris aspires to be on the front lines facilitating dialogue and action steps to create and implement social change in our schools.
I am the first person in my family to have attended college. Not only am I the first person to have received my bachelor's degree, but I will also be the first to graduate with a master's degree. I am passionate to advocate towards historically underserved students.

Erika has worked as a health peer educator in higher education addressing dimensions of wellness, mentored youth to address educational needs and quality-of-life issues, and worked along side students as a substitute teacher.
As a school counselor, Erika will continue to work alongside students and families that have been historically underserved in the education system. Through culturally responsive teaching, we bridge students home and school life, teaching through the students rather than to the student.
Meghan Koos is an aspiring school counselor with fifteen years of experience working toward educational equity. She began her career as a high school English teacher and has since gained experience training teachers, recruiting and hiring nonprofit education professionals, and teaching at the collegiate level. She is passionate about working with diverse student populations, and she has specialized in working with Native American and Indigenous Youth in San Diego.
Kaylee Martinez is a 2nd year graduate student in the SDSU School Counseling Program. She has a B.A. in Psychology from UC Riverside with a minor in Education, Society and Human Development. She hopes to become a high school counselor post graduation and is looking forward to the future.
Michael Mensalvas is a 2nd year graduate student in the San Diego State School Counseling Program. In 2017, He obtained his B.A. in Psychological Science from CSUSM. Michael is eager to be a part of the school counseling profession and is excited to learn more about secondary education.
