Maria Isabel Alquiciras Albarran, a first-generation Deaf Undocumented Latina graduate student, is pursuing a Master of Science in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services credential. She has experience in navigating the mainstream K-12 school education system as a Deaf student and she strongly advocates for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to receive equitable access to education.

Teresa Silvestre is a first-generation Latinx School Counseling graduate student who graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2019 with her B.S. in Sport Psychology and Leadership. She has a passion for supporting youth and families in accessing resources, navigating academia, and postsecondary success.
Renisa Stanfield is a first-generation graduate student. She graduated from CSUN in 2021. She is now a graduate student in the School Counseling program. Her goal is to restoratively help students develop their emotional literacy skills while also working on the many different majors and career routes students can take.
My name is Gary Taylor and I'm in my second year of the school counseling program at San Diego State University. I've been married for 30 years and have two adult children, and two grandkids. I was a minister for 27 years, so this is my second career that I'm excited to begin. Out of high school, I was able to obtain an athletic scholarship in football from SDSU. I received my undergraduate degree from SDSU in Criminal Justice in 1992.
Amy Tran graduated from UCSD in 2013 with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and minor in Human Development. She went onto work for JCCS where she gained experience in developing a comprehensive school counseling program that will promote social justice, equity, and access to an appropriate education for all students.
