Moynul Hasan Akash is from Bangladesh and is currently pursuing PhD in Electrical Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, USA. He received his Master of Engineering in Electronic Systems and Devices from the University of the Ryukyus, Japan, and his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Port City International University, Bangladesh. His research interests include antenna design and optimization, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic sensing and imaging, and direction-finding antennas. Outside of research, he enjoys watching movies and spending time with his family.
Nafis Almas Nafi is currently a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT), working as a Graduate Research Assistant. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Bangladesh. His undergraduate thesis focused on developing efficient RF coil designs for ultrahigh-field (UHF) MRI. He also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant on an AUST Internal Research Grant project titled "Novel Polarization Converter at mmWave/THz Range for Future 6G Applications." His research interests include electrically small antennas, ultrawideband (UWB) antennas, metamaterials and metasurface-based antennas, and RF circuits. Outside of research, he enjoys playing video games and spending time with his family.
Samarth Naik is from Goa, a coastal state in India, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from South Dakota Mines. His research interests include machine learning and computer vision. Outside of research, he enjoys watching horror movies, reading, and playing pickleball.
Abdulrauf Zoubi is a graduate student from Benghazi, Libya, pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT) in Rapid City, South Dakota, as a Fulbright Foreign Student Program Participant. His research interests lie at the intersection of wireless communications and artificial intelligence, with previous work on Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), exploring deep learning approaches to waveform design and resource allocation. He has also worked on OTFS (Orthogonal Time Frequency Space) modulation combined with NOMA (Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access) for next-generation wireless systems, as well as a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) project for an AI chatbot. Outside of research, he enjoys watching movies and TV shows, as well as playing chess.
