Check out this video of students talking about their learning at camp from May 2025!
All students will take part in the following activities:
Archery, Life in a Lake (looking at creatures under a microscope), Buzzworthy (learning about bees), Outdoor architects (building shelters), Voyageur Canoe (a canoe that seats 20 people), Tie Dye t-shirt making, and Cosmic Quest (learning about the night sky)
In addition, students will hike, play mini golf, gaga ball, fish/use boats, and play other games.
Students will be in mixed groups from all four schools during the day and spend the nights with students from their own school.
No tents! We have cabins and lodges that are nicer than most people expect with decent bathrooms and showers.
We have a LOT of food. The kids love it every year. Allergies or special diets? We can accommodate.
During the day, parent chaperones will be assigned to a group of approximately 16 students, mixed from all four elementary schools. You will have other parents also assigned to your daytime group. You will sit at tables with students during meals. In the evening and overnight, you will be with your own school for activities and sleep. Parent chaperones will get to be with their own student at camp during the day. Boys and girls are separated at night in different parts of the camp and dads would stay with the boys and moms with the girls from your own school.
It is FUN and even if you aren't the camping-type, you will enjoy it!
Thank you Camp Anokijig for letting me have a great time! I wish I could go to camp again.

THANK YOU, for giving us a chance to be with other kids our age and for giving us totally different classes and opportunities to learn from. Also the setting was green and beautiful.
Thank you Camp Anokijig for the camp fires where we made smores!!
Thank you Camp Anokijig for making lots of things do and making us face our fears with meeting new students so it will gets us ready for middle school.
I honestly liked every single thing at camp, but what I liked the most was the Voyager Canoe; it gave me a lot of experience when it came to teamwork, and it also taught me how only 20 people and 14 paddles could make a hollowed out tree trunk glide so gracefully along the water. Thanks for a great time!!!!!!!
Thank you Camp Anokijig for great meals great activities and an awesome experience that I wish I could do again!
