Elementary and middle school teachers will use Google Classroom, and high school teachers will use Canvas to organize and deliver instruction.
In order for a student to be eligible to participate in SDOC@Home, parents must commit to their student(s) being a full-time remote learner in this program for the entire 2020-2021 school year.
SDOC will provide a device (ex. Chromebook) for learning in grades K-12. However, the family must provide both reliable access to the Internet and learner support from home.
Attendance will be taken for all remote classes, and participation is mandatory. Students must be in compliance with state attendance requirements. Truancy procedures will be initiated if the student does not attend.
Grading procedures and requirements will remain the same.
If any of the above requirements cannot be maintained, a student will need to be moved to the traditional (face-to-face) setting.
